Introduction

Abu Dhabi University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position in the Electrical, Computer, and Biomedical Engineering Department to start in the Fall semester of Academic Year 2025/26. Applicants must demonstrate strong teaching and scholarly achievements in the areas of power systems, communications, and electronics.

Qualifications And Requirements

The College of Engineering (CoE) has rapidly expanded its programs, faculty, and student body. The Electrical, Computer, and Biomedical Engineering Department currently serves over 420 students in undergraduate and graduate programs. The department is seeking applicants who meet the following selection criteria:

• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a focus on power systems, communications, or electronics, earned from an internationally recognized and accredited university.
• A demonstrated record of excellence in teaching and scholarship, including:
• High student evaluation scores and other teaching-related accomplishments.
• A strong research portfolio with publications in reputable, high-impact journals and IEEE conferences.
• Experience working in multicultural academic environments.
• Excellent communication skills and a collegial attitude.
• Commitment to academic diversity, innovation, and a learner-centered approach.
• Familiarity with modern teaching technologies and an understanding of the evolving demands of engineering education.
