Job Title: Assistant Professor – Software Engineering

Position Summary

The College of Engineering in Abu Dhabi University invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor in Software Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching core and advanced software engineering topics, conducting impactful research, and contributing to the continuous development of the academic program.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in Software Engineering, including software development, software architecture, software testing, DevOps, and software project management.
• Develop and maintain high-quality instructional materials and deliver engaging classroom instruction.
• Conduct independent and collaborative research in software engineering and publish in reputable journals and conferences.
• Supervise senior design projects, theses, and internships related to software engineering.
• Participate in course and curriculum development aligned with ABET or similar accreditation standards.
• Contribute to the academic community through committee work, academic advising, and student mentoring.
• Establish and maintain connections with industry to enhance practical learning and research opportunities.
  

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline with a specialization in software engineering.
• Demonstrated teaching ability in software engineering subjects.
• A solid track record or potential in research, with publications in relevant areas.
• Industry experience in software development is considered a strong asset.
• Commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service.
