Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Biomedical Technician, based in Riyadh. While the position primarily requires on-site responsibilities, some work-from-home flexibility is available. The Biomedical Technician will manage the maintenance, repair, and calibration of medical equipment. The role includes ensuring adherence to electrical safety standards, conducting preventative maintenance, collaborating with stakeholders, and supporting biomedical engineering projects to maintain optimal equipment performance.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine preventive maintenance on medical and laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Install , test and commission new medical devices and equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions and perform corrective repairs in a timely manner.
Calibrate and test equipment to ensure accurate and safe operation consistent with regulatory and safety standards.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance, calibration, repair history, and equipment performance logs.
Provide technical support and training to healthcare personnel on proper equipment use and safety procedures.
Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to address equipment needs and ensure continuous operational readiness.
Order and manage inventory of spare parts and tools required for maintenance tasks.
Respond to emergency service calls and provide on-call technical support as required.
Ensure compliance with industry safety standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Proficiency in Equipment Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair of complex systems
Knowledge and experience working with Medical Equipment and related technologies
Familiarity with Electrical Safety standards and practices
Understanding of Biomedical Engineering principles
Strong problem-solving capabilities and technical diagnostic skills
Ability to maintain accurate documentation and compliance with healthcare regulations
Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or a related technical field is preferred
Previous experience in a healthcare
