Description
- Demonstrate behaviors consistent with the hospital mission and goals.
- We assess the needs of a patient, make informed clinical decisions, and plan and deliver appropriate Interventions whilst monitoring the patient’s condition.
- Complete Daily Ambulance & Equipment checklists as per Ambulance Service Policy.
- Maintenance records must be maintained for all medical equipment and should contain the date, the name of the person performing changes, addition, and service repair.
- Each piece of equipment must be checked at least semi-annually to determine that it is correctly calibrated in accordance with the manufacturers recommendation and shall be recalibrated if necessary and rotation made in the maintenance record.
- To delegate and supervise tasks for the Paramedics and EMT’s.
- Maintain Professional ethics & Proficiency in English Language.
- Initiative to learn new skills and tasks as they apply to the support of the ambulance service and appropriately implement Quality improvement strategies.
- Ambulance services policies and procedures are adhered to (Safety and Cleanliness, Infection Control,
- Scope of Practice, Billing).
- To maintain and update the Patient Records, other documentation and ensure that accurate statistics are generated so that trends can be identified and duly informed.
- To ensure that our practices are in line with the scope of practice and PHECC guidelines, so that Paramedics/EMT’s practice within their scope.
- Prepare duty rosters for Paramedics/EMT’s and Ambulance drivers.
- We are conducting simulations/training to Paramedics/EMT’s/Ambulance Drivers.
- Monitor& Indent the stock levels to ensure that no shortages occur.
- Maintain the Department Performance plan and ensure that the department’s objectives and KPI’s are achieved, and policies &procedures are followed.
- Maintains their high standard of training by actively participating in continuous professional competence programmes.
- Have the competencies to perform all skills, including medications, as defined in the PHECC Medication and Skills
- Matrix as modified and approved by DCAS to meet the requirements.
- Knowledgeable about DCAS regulation of Ambulance service and licensing process.
Education Requirement:
- Graduation in Medical Specialty Qualification
- Emergency Care Trauma, or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s in Nursing or equivalent
- BLS/ACLS Instructor certification (preferred)
- Candidate MUST have both license : DHA License as Registered Nurse and DCAS Advance Paramedic License
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience post-registration/certification.
