Job Title: Critical Care Consultant

JOB SUMMARY

Exciting opportunity for an intensive care unit (ICU) consultant at a top-tier hospital in Saudi Arabia, your responsibilities would include overseeing the care of critically ill patients and providing leadership within the ICU team. You would be integral in coordinating patient management, directing critical care interventions, and ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and quality of care. Your expertise and dedication to advancing critical care medicine would further the hospital's reputation as a center of excellence in intensive care.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

Provides high-quality intensive care to patients in this area of medicine. 

Provide consultative service as requested. 

Supervise fellows, staff/assistant physicians, and residents. 

Actively participates in the training and teaching of residents and fellows in his area of expertise and Participates in research activities. 

Participates in committees and other administrative functions as needed. 

Performs special procedures as privileged. 

Follows all hospital-related policies and procedures. 

Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Board Certification in Intensive Care Medicine or equivalent.

A certificate recognized by the Saudi commission is a must.

Dataflow is a must.

Experience:

• A minimum of 5 years post-specialization experience in ICU or critical care settings.
• Proven experience in managing critically ill patients, including those requiring advanced life 

Competencies & Skills:

Strong leadership and decision-making skills in critical care situations.

Proficient in advanced critical care procedures and technologies (e.g., ventilation, invasive monitoring, etc.).

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.

Ability to manage complex multi-disciplinary teams and foster a collaborative work environment.

High level of professionalism and ethical conduct.
