
Job Description
- Monitors and provides care of patients presenting to Urgent Care.
- Monitors and provides care of patients admitted in wards
- Admit patients requiring special care, investigations and treatment under the specialist.
- Examine and talk to patients to diagnose their medical conditions.
- Make notes, both as a record of treatment and for referral.
- Liaise with other medical and non-medical staff in the hospital to ensure quality treatment.
- Work with other doctors as part of a team.
- Promote health education among patients.
- Organize preventive medical programs
- Maintain knowledge of applicable local regulations and requirements.
- Developing and maintaining professional quality standards and recommending the improvement of such standards to meet those of the JCI.
- Monitoring the quality of medical care provided to patients hospitalized.
- Work is performed independently, under the general direction of the Urgent Care physician.
- Monitors clinical and other established indicators to ensure ongoing quality assurance.
- Strictly observes organization’s medical regulations and policies especially those related to infection control, patient safety, patient assessment and patient care.
- Performs other miscellaneous related duties as requested by the head of Urgent Care.
- Initiate IPNS form for any eligible patient with injury and poisoning
- Ensure all details are captured in IPNS data form for further submission to DOH
Qualifications
QUALIFICATION, LICENSURE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SPECIAL
SKILLS:
- Graduate from an accredited school of Medicine with an MBBS degree.
- Minimum of two years experience in the practice as general practitioner post certification.
- Current licensure in country of origin and with DOH license to practice in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
- Must have a thorough knowledge of medical ethics, with particular reference to the obligation to maintain the confidentiality of his work; and adhere to Bylaws, Rules and Regulations of the Medical Organization.
- Excellent command of oral and written English. Knowledge of Arabic language is desirable but not essential.
- Communication, interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with co-workers, superiors, patients & families.
