Healthpoint, part of the M42 group, is a multi-specialty hospital based in Abu Dhabi. The hospital includes 10 specialty centers: bariatric (weight loss) surgery & weight loss, dentistry, medical specialties, musculoskeletal medicine, pain management & headache, physiotherapy & rehabilitation, plastic surgery & dermatology, pulmonary & sleep medicine, vascular medicine & surgery, & surgical specialties.
Responsibilities
- Oversees the clinical management and treatment plans for patients with musculoskeletal injuries, orthopedic conditions, and sports-related disorders, ensuring evidence-based and patient-centered care.
- Adheres to all hospital policies and clinical governance standards related to patient admission, consultation, surgical and non-surgical management, rehabilitation, discharge, and follow-up care.
- Leads multidisciplinary case discussions and ward rounds, coordinating with physiotherapists, rehabilitation specialists, radiologists, and orthopedic surgeons to optimize recovery outcomes.
- Conducts detailed musculoskeletal assessments, joint evaluations, and functional performance tests, reassessing progress regularly in line with sports medicine best practices.
- Accurately documents clinical findings, imaging results, treatment decisions, and patient progress in a timely and compliant manner.
- Collaborates with other medical and surgical specialties to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to injury management and patient rehabilitation.
- Ensures patients are appropriately prepared for diagnostic, therapeutic, or surgical procedures, including obtaining informed consent and explaining risks, benefits, and expected recovery timelines.
- Provides education and counseling to patients and their families regarding injury prevention, rehabilitation protocols, and return-to-sport planning, ensuring understanding and active engagement.
- Participates in the development and implementation of sports injury prevention programs and post-operative rehabilitation pathways to enhance functional recovery and performance.
Qualifications:
- MBBS or MBChB or equivalent
- Completion of specialty qualification as per the Abu Dhabi , DOH , PQR for Rehabilitation Medicine.
- A western board certification in the related field such as CCT, CSST, American Board, German, Australian board etc. considered as Tier 1 will be preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience post training or board certification.
- Must hold a valid License/Registration to practice in their home country and/or country of last employment (Where applicable).
