Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice verification, approval, and posting.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor payments in compliance with internal policies and payment terms.
• Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and maintain vendor aging reports.
• Perform monthly and year-end AP closing activities, including accruals and reporting.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure proper cost allocations and approvals.
• Monitor and improve AP processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of AP records for audit and compliance purposes.
• Competent enough to independently prepare MIS reports and VAT return filings.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee and supervise supplier payments processing.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CMA) is an advantage.
• 6+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 4 years in a senior AP role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, especially related to accounts payable.
• Proficiency in accounting software
• Advanced Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently.
