Danat Al Emarat is a world-class specialty women’s and children’s hospital in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.It offers advanced medical services across specialties including Neonatology, Pediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynecology, and Women’s Health. The hospital is one of the very few to encompass a dedicated Fetal Medicine Department along with a full-fledged Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the UAE. This has established Danat Al Emarat as a regional referral center for women with high-risk pregnancies, supported by its Level III NICU providing care for the most fragile newborns.
Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, the Accountant II is responsible for overseeing numerous financial and accounting activities including but not limited to annual budgetary control, financial reporting and ensure their compliance with the relevant standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and post daily and monthly journal entries, including accruals.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations (such as cash, bank accounts, prepayments, and fixed assets) and investigate any discrepancies.
- Produce accurate financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets.
- Oversee and execute month-end and year-end closing activities within set timelines.
- Ensure all financial transactions are compliant with internal policies, local tax requirements, and international standards.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary schedules, variance analysis, and relevant documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Up to 5 years of progressive career experience
- Budget setting and management for a significant sized, complex organization
