Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Performs the professional duties of cardiologist in accordance with the delineation of privileges as recommended by the chief of cardiology services & approved by MOH.
• Performs his duties in the cardiology clinic, evaluation of patients with Cardio vascular disease.
• Provides care to his patients in the medical wards.
• Performs the usual Cardiology procedures: ECHO, Treadmill and Holter Monitor.
• Provides consultation services to the in-patient service in his area of expertise.
• Provides education to the patient and family regarding their diagnosis, treatment options, alternatives and other Provides after working hours on-call emergency coverage for cardiology emergencies.
• Provides supervision and education to the cardiovascular technician and nurses.
• Participates in the monthly staff meeting of the cardiology Services.
• Participates and contributes to the educational activities in the service.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the chief of service (e.g. Committee membership).
• Participates & contributes to all the Performance Improvement activities of the service.
• Supervises the work of ward physicians, professional development physicians and provides his evaluation of their work at the request of the chief of service.
• Performs duties in Cardiology clinics/wards, as assigned by the chief of service and as worked dictates.
• Treats patients and their families with compassion and delivers person

• Provide personalized coordinated care, support and treatment for patients and families.
• Treat people with dignity, compassion, and respect.
• Involve patients, families and caregivers by providing them with education and resources for offering optimal support to promote recovery.
• organize the master schedule for other specialists in the department.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• Bachelor in Cardiac Technology

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE :

• 0 to 2 years
