Lead the development and rollout of NMC’s front-shop strategy by driving product selection, merchandising, sales, promotions, and customer experience consistency across all pharmacies (Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, Dubai, Sharjah, etc.).
Responsibilities
1. Retail Strategy & Execution
- Own full project lifecycle: planning, roll‑out, and refinement of retail front-shop model.
- Set and track store-level and network-wide targets (sales, margin, basket size).
- Drive SOPs and enforce planogram and visual merchandising compliance.
2. Product Portfolio & Category Management
- Curate front-shop categories (OTC, health, baby, beauty, nutrition, personal care, etc.).
- Conduct quarterly reviews to optimize SKU mix – add, delist, re‑price.
- Negotiate with vendors for pricing, promos, shelf support and rebates.
3. Sales Performance & Promotions
- Lead monthly/quarterly campaigns (e.g., bundles, seasonals, loyalty tie‑ins).
- Use sales data and analytics to evaluate performance and pivot tactics.
- Research market trends and benchmark against peers .
4. Store Operations & Merchandising
- Standardize store layouts and ensure front-shop compliance (audits).
- Oversee inventory health—monitor stock‑outs, dead stock, and turnover.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with unit managers, pharmacists, and marketing.
- Train staff (pharmacists/promoters) in upselling, product knowledge, and SOPs.
5. Cross-functional Integration
- Integrate with procurement, supply chain, finance, and marketing.
- Support offline front-shop alignment and home delivery strategies.
Work closely with the technology/innovation team to develop online sales channels.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s in Pharmacy, Business, Marketing; MBA preferred.
- 7–10 years in retail pharmacy/FMCG with ≥3 years in retail or project leadership.
- UAE license (DHA/MOH/HAAD)
- P&L responsibility experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in store-level or network transformation
Skills & Competencies
- Entrepreneurial mindset, Problem solving skills.
- Strong commercial sense with data-driven decision-making.
- Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, retail ERP systems.
- Leadership, training, and vendor negotiation experience.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, compliance orientation.
