
Job Description
What you’ll do:
Lead, supervise and mentor a team of RD&E engineers across various disciplines including direct responsibility of 15-20 members and functional supervision of additional 15-20 members.
Manage hardware engineers including their work allocation, resource loading, performance and daily supervision.
Manage re-design and development of electronic product transitions into Dubai manufacturing.
Be the single point of contact for all RD&E activities on site. Work closely with site management and engage in site specific engineering management collaboration and community of best practices.
Collaborate closely with Eaton COEs in EIIC as well as worldwide like Power electronics COE, Component engineering COE, PCBA design COEs to ensure alignment with respect to tools, processes and practices.
Plan, coordinate, and oversee engineering projects that are supported by engineers in Dubai.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal quality systems.
Collaborate with relevant stakeholders from engineering and manufacturing to ensure R&D support to manufacturing and vice-versa.
Ensure onboarding, training and readiness of all RD&E Engineers in Dubai.
Conduct performance reviews and support professional development of team members.
Identify and mitigate technical risks and bottlenecks.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in electronic design and development including connectivity, cyber requirements and evolution of regulations.”
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering
10+ years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
Strong technical background in electronic design, testing and manufacturing.
Proven experience managing engineering teams and delivering complex projects.
Skills:
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Experience with development and sustaining of electronic products.
Knowledge of budgeting and resource planning.
Ability to foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Leader with high energy, strong agility and collaboration
