Duties & Responsibilities

• Applying statistical quantitative and qualitative modelling to solve business problems.

• Building supervised and unsupervised machine learning and data mining models on wide variety of data, including structured, semi-structured and unstructured data using analytical tools, languages, or libraries 

• Collaborate with senior data scientists to develop/enhance new and existing algorithms 

• Experience creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics: regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, etc.

• Design, test and implement Machine Learning models

• Develop A/B testing framework and impact measurement methodology; assess model quality

• Work with product team to implement new modules, maintain and release production pipelines in timely and responsible fashion

• Create tools / frameworks to assess and improve data accuracy and model performance

• Develop proof of concepts for new analytics initiatives.

• Collaborate with Product owners, Data Engineers, Business Teams to find scope of improvement and drive right processes. 

• Passion for data and analytics, creating data-based solution and driving a culture of data driven decision within a large organization

• Experience in developing analytics solutions and products 

• Self-starter, self-driven person who can navigate through amorphous and highly agile environments; ability to work independently when required

• Experience working cross-functionally with development, design, and other business teams

• Ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads with a track record of taking ownership and driving results

• Verbal and written fluency in English is a pre-requisite; good listening skills with strong attention to details 

• Ability to deliver initiatives from conception through to completion

• Customer-centric approach with passion for building creative, new analytics products with the aim of optimizing the user experience and business operations

• A fair understanding of the analytics ecosystem and value chain from both a business and a technical standpoint.

• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Worked on at least 1-2 visualization tools: Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik, BO etc.

• Good proficiency in at least 1-2 coding languages is must: R/SAS/Python/Sql/BigQuery

• Good knowledge of algorithm/modeling techniques like Logistic Regression, Linear Regression, Clustering, Decision Trees, Randfom Forest, SVM, KNN etc. is must.

Education & Experience

1. 5+ years of experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models

2. Master’s or PHD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another quantitative field 

3. Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills

4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

5. Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
