Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated CSSD Technician who will be responsible for the decontamination, cleaning, assembling, sterilization, storage, and distribution of surgical instruments, trays, and medical equipment. The role ensures the highest standards of patient safety and strict adherence to infection control protocols.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate and clean reusable medical instruments and equipment in accordance with established protocols.
• Assemble surgical trays and instruments accurately and efficiently.
• Perform sterilization processes using autoclaves and other sterilization equipment.
• Conduct inspections to ensure instrument functionality and cleanliness.
• Maintain appropriate documentation for sterilization cycles, load records, and inventory logs.
• Ensure proper storage and timely distribution of sterile items to clinical areas.
• Follow strict infection control practices and department policies.
• Coordinate with surgical and nursing teams to meet procedural needs.
• Participate in training, audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
  

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in Sterile Processing / CSSD.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital CSSD.
• Valid certification
• Knowledge of sterilization methods, infection control, and handling of surgical instruments.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
