Job Summary:

We are seeking a Project Approvals Engineer to manage all regulatory approvals, permits, and NOCs (No Objection Certificates) required for construction projects. The role involves coordinating with government authorities, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, and supporting project teams to avoid delays due to pending approvals.

This position is ideal for professionals with experience in project permitting, authority liaison, and regulatory compliance within the UAE construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Approvals & Permits

  • Prepare, review, and submit applications for NOCs, permits, and approvals from relevant government authorities.
  • Ensure all submissions are complete, accurate, and compliant with UAE laws and regulations.
  • Track approval progress and follow up with authorities to avoid project delays.

2. Coordination with Authorities

  • Act as the primary contact for municipalities, civil defense, electricity & water departments, and other relevant authorities.
  • Address feedback, comments, or additional requirements from authorities efficiently.

3. Compliance & Documentation

  • Review project designs, drawings, and plans to ensure regulatory compliance prior to submission.
  • Maintain proper records of all NOCs, permits, approvals, and correspondence.
  • Monitor validity and renewal of permits throughout the project lifecycle.

4. Support to Project Teams

  • Advise project managers, site engineers, and other stakeholders on regulatory requirements and approvals.
  • Assist in implementing changes or modifications requested by authorities.

5. Reporting & Monitoring

  • Prepare periodic reports on project approvals, NOCs, and permits for management and project teams.
  • Monitor timelines to ensure all approvals are obtained in time to avoid project disruptions.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in UAE construction projects handling permits, approvals, or NOCs.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE municipal, civil defense, electricity, water, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in MS Office and project documentation tools.
