Job Description
Core Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Design Management:
• Manage design consultants to deliver designs from concept to Issue for Construction (IFC) stages.
• Ensure compliance with Employer’s requirements, applicable legislation, codes, standards, and health & safety considerations.
• Review and approve design consultants’ change proposals.
Project Coordination:
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to plan, manage, and monitor design progress.
• Support stakeholder engagement and ensure integration among designers for cohesive designs.
Review and Oversight:
• Oversee the design review process in collaboration with the Design Review Manager.
• Manage design-related risks and contribute to risk management plans.
Innovation and Best Practices:
• Promote innovation and share best practices among consultants.
• Leverage the Technical Excellence team for design standards and guidelines.
Collaboration:
• Ensure design objectives are met by coordinating with other departments.
• Facilitate construction changes and resolve design issues with the construction team.
Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree or professional registration in architecture, engineering, or a construction-related discipline.
• Experience managing design and/or construction of super high-rise or complex projects with a strong architectural focus.

• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in leveraging Information Technology for work performance.

• Design management expertise.
• Ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, consultants, and contractors.
• Leadership of diverse, multidisciplinary teams to foster collaboration.
• Proficiency in managing and liaising with multiple consultants.
Software Skills:
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint, Project) and SharePoint.
• Familiarity with Power BI, PowerApps, and document management software.
Special Skills:
• Knowledge of architectural design codes, standards, and guidelines for high-rise/super high-rise buildings.
• Familiarity with construction methods, materials, and safety standards.
Desirable Skills:
• Experience working in different regions or countries.
• Management of both design and construction delivery stages.
• Implementation of Modern Method of Construction (MMC) techniques on projects.
