Electrical Engineer (Saudi National)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in electrical engineering design within the building services sector. The successful candidate will work on diverse commercial, residential, and industrial projects, ensuring the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems meet industry standards and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities
• Electrical System Design: Design and develop electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, security systems, and other specialized installations for building projects.
• Drawings & Schematics: Prepare detailed electrical drawings and schematics, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations.
• Material Specification: Specify materials and components such as cables, transformers, panels, and switchgear.
• Collaboration: Work closely with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders for seamless system integration.
• Site Assessments: Conduct site visits to understand project requirements and constraints.
• Construction Support: Assist contractors during construction and installation to ensure designs are implemented accurately.
• Project Planning: Contribute to project planning, budgeting, and scheduling efforts.
• Technical Assistance: Provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases.
• Load Calculations: Perform electrical load calculations and energy analysis to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Compliance: Ensure designs meet local codes, standards (IEC, NEC, etc.), and client specifications.
• Regulatory Adherence: Conduct regular design reviews to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
• Problem-Solving: Resolve design-related issues during construction or operation and propose cost-effective solutions.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes.

Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in electrical design engineering within the building services sector.
• Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of electrical design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux, or similar tools.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with building regulations, safety standards, and electrical codes (e.g., NEC, BS7671).
• Sector Experience: Proven experience in commercial, residential, or industrial building projects.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, emergency systems, and renewable energy integration.
• Communication: Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Accreditation: Professional membership or accreditation (e.g., IET, CIBSE) is an advantage.
